POWERSIGHT MANAGER (PSM) PC SOFTWARE is a flexible, powerful, and easy to use power analysis software tool. It combines graphical analysis of data logs and waveforms with before/after report generation, special modes of operation, and control of PowerSight instruments. It works with Microsoft Windows 95 all the way through Windows XP and Vista. PSM is perfect for analysis of 1 phase, 2 phase, 3 phase, 3-1/2 phase, phase-phase, phase-neutral, AC/DC, and 20Hz to 440Hz systems. When connected to the PowerSight Energy Analyzer, PSM can display real-time values and stored waveforms of seven channels of power inputs. These waveforms can be graphed individually or in combination. Complete harmonic analysis with bar charts or tabular data can be obtained at the push of one key.

DISPLAY, ZOOM, PRINT. Any display can be printed in full color. Similarly, data logs from PowerSight can be downloaded by PSM and displayed for analysis. Detailed logs of demand and disturbances from minutes to weeks are easily handled. Zoom and labeling functions allow precise analysis and display of the data of interest. Data log displays contain 70 different measurement types including voltage, current, true power, apparent power, VAR, power factor, energy, frequency, and harmonic distortion of each phase.

ONE-CLICK EXPORT TO EXCEL For custom analysis, all log data stored by PSM is accessible as text files that are directly compatible with Excel and other spreadsheet programs, and makes it easy to perform your own calculations. The user interface makes analysis remarkably easy. First-time users and occasional users quickly become productive.

Summary Reports summarize the results of a test into a brief tabular format. The user chooses what timeframe to summarize, what variables to list in the report, and whether to include graphics. Since the user selects which variables to include in the report, the report can be quite extensive (as many as 70 variables can be included such as voltage, current, power factor, watts, VA, VAR, cost, THD, frequency). This type of report provides excellent status records for power systems studies that can be emailed and archived. Sample Summary Report

Comparison Reports compare the data of two different segments of the same data log or two different data logs for two studies performed at different times. Comparisons between logs typically present "before" versus "after" comparisons to prove savings of energy or cost. Comparisons between times within logs typically present peak load versus idle load comparisons.

Sellers and buyers of energy saving devices will appreciate the ability to quickly summarize and present the results in a clear and concise manner to decision-makers with before and after energy use and cost. Either type of report is text editable, pictures and user comments can be added. The volume of data in a report is under user control to allow the report to be as broad or as focused as the user desires.
